Eric Smart has over 15 years of sales, sales management, marketing and project management in the pharmaceutical contract research and contract manufacturing industries. He held positions at AMRI, Organichem Corporation, AlliedSignal and Albemarle Corporation.

Smart was a co-founder of Organichem Corporation in 1999 and was a member of the management team that organized the management buyout that formed Organichem. As VP of Business Development he played a key role in realizing the company’s financial milestones that led to a successful sale of the business to AMRI in 2002.

Smart holds a BS degree in chemistry from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Smart served eight years as an officer in the US Navy.
