Sergio
Melgar became the HealthCare Enterprise chief financial officer (CFO)/vice
president in March, 2005 after coming to the University of Kentucky in August,
2004 as the CFO for UK HealthCare. Prior to coming to Kentucky, he had served
as the CFO for UCLA Medical Sciences in Los Angeles, California since 1994. His
experience also includes positions director of financial operations at Mercy
Healthcare Ventura County in Oxnard, California from 1992 to 1994, senior
manager with Ernst & Young LLP in New York from 1987 to 1992, and as a
manager with Arthur Andersen LLP of Chicago from 1981 to 1987.
