The CMO Leadership Awards are presented by Life Science Leader magazine and were developed to assist pharmaceutical and biotech companies in identifying reliable and reputable contract manufacturing partners. All research and results are compiled by Nice Insight, with voters being those organizations seeking CMO services. The official award website states:
The CMO Leadership Awards are based on industry research conducted by Nice Insight. Nice Insight offers intelligence reports to give clients a clear understanding of how their industry perceives their business, and a much more informed basis for strategic decision‐making. Nice Insight combines surveying of thousands of industry executives with other key analyses to serve both partnering groups and facilitate better overall outsourcing collaborations.
Unlike other industry awards which are given based on a subjective voting or nomination process, the only votes that count towards the CMO Leadership Awards are those of the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies using CMO services.
For 2013, Coldstream received recognition in two categories: Quality and Innovation. The Quality category recognizes those businesses that will take the utmost care of client projects and “treat them as their own.” Winners in the innovation category are defined as those organizations that “enhance in-house capabilities through a new idea, method, or device.” (LifeScienceLeader.com)Eric Smart, President & CEO of Coldstream Laboratories, received the award in a ceremony at the W Hotel New York in New York City on March 12, 2014.
